Amy Roberts – Communications/UPDATE Editor
Amy Roberts started writing articles for the Kings County Farm Bureau
Update in 2003. After working as the Contributing Editor since that time, she was asked to become the Communications Director in December 2006. Besides writing the articles, she is now responsible for putting the monthly paper together and other communication needs as necessary. Amy encourages readers to call with story ideas.
Amy started working as a writer in 1995 and has covered a broad spectrum of topics including food and religion for The Hanford Sentinel (95-98); cotton production articles for Cotton Farming Magazine (98-2005); vegetable, grape and nut stories for The Grower Magazine (99-2004) and many freelance projects. In 2003, Amy returned to Fresno State to finish her BA degree, which she earned in 2005 with an emphasis in Print Journalism.
Amy and her husband moved to Hanford in 1981 where they enjoyed raising their three children. They relocated to Fresno in 2005 after Bruce retired from the local UC Cooperative Extension office and accepted the Boswell Chair of Agronomy at CSUF.
