How to Join

Everyone is eligible to apply for Farm Bureau membership and receive the many benefits and services available. You don't have to be a farmer or rancher to join Farm Bureau. When you join, you are applying for membership in the county Farm Bureau where you live or work. Farmers and ranchers who receive income from production agriculture join as Voting Members and receive the weekly Ag Alert®, California's number one agricultural trade journal. All others join as Sustaining Members and receive the bimonthly California Country, filled with useful information and background on food production, home gardening and other subjects. Each county has different dues rates for both Voting and Sustaining Members.

Choose the most convenient way to join:

By Telephone—Call us at 559.584.3557, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (PST) and have your VISA or MasterCard ready for dues payment. Be ready to provide your name, address (residence, property ownership or place of business), and phone number.

By Mail—Complete and mail an application form to the Kings County Farm Bureau, 870 Greenfield Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230. We will contact you to verify the dues rate and to arrange payment for your dues.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

AGRICULTURAL

An Agricultural member is someone residing, conducting business(es) or farming in Kings County, who reasonably expects to receive income from an agricultural operation, either as an owner, lessor, lessee or officer, substantial shareholder or full time employee of such owner, lessor or lessee.

ASSOCIATE

Associate members are those who join to participate in service-to-member programs, have no agricultural income or who believe in and want to support agriculture and the Farm Bureau philosophy. The sustaining members are eligible to participate in all activities of Farm Bureau, with the exception of voting, serving on the board of directors and the holding of office.
