Kings County Growers Meeting on Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program

The Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program (ILRP) will impact almost every grower in Kings County. Join the Kings County Farm Bureau, water experts and farm industry representatives to discuss the impact of this program on Kings farming, where this regulatory process is headed and Kings County’s options for participation.

Cotton Harvest Safety Seminar

Each September, KCFB partners with the Tulare County Farm Bureau, State Compensation Insurance Fund, Tulare and Kings UC Cooperative Extensions, Tulare and Kings County Fire Departments, California Highway Patrol, and Mid Valley Gin to sponsor a safety seminar for growers just prior to the cotton harvest.  Issues covered include, but are not limited to: first aid, tractor and highway safety, and heat stress.

The seminar satisfies cotton harvest safety training required under the SB 198 program.  The seminar is offered in both English and Spanish and materials are provided to attendees.
