Lindley Joins KCFB Board

Gary Lindley

by Amy Roberts

As the newest member of the Kings County Farm Bureau Board, Gary Lindley brings a wealth of ag experience and knowledge to the group. He received an official welcome as a new member during the March 18 Board Meeting.
Past President George Wurzel (2003-05) encouraged Lindley to take on the volunteer duties and become part of a strong group of interesting individuals who enjoy interacting with the community to support the mission of educating, promoting and representing the interests of agriculture.
Lindley works for the J. G. Boswell Company. For 34 years he has been a dedicated employee and currently holds the position as the El Rico District Manager – Corcoran Ranch.
Lindley is a lifelong resident of Kings County. He grew up in Corcoran and attended CSU Fresno where he earned a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business.
Besides his newest endeavor, Lindley serves as the chairman of the Corcoran High School Agricultural Advisory Committee and is a past president of the Corcoran Chamber of Commerce. During 2002-03, he was a member of the Class XXXIII Agricultural Leadership Program.
Joining the KCFB Board is an extension of Lindley’s belief in supporting community organizations.
"People are the foundation of any great organization and having people who get involved to make a difference creates an environment for success," he said.

Lindley and his wife Patricia have two grown children, Melissa McVay and Jay Lindley; and have three grandchildren, Irelynd, Brady and Ty McVay.
